Lanes

Right now, the general rule is that one champion goes top, one goes to the jungle, two go bottom, and one goes in the middle. If you are having trouble with the champion you can switch lanes with other teammates.

Around level 30 it starts to get more complicated. There are many combinations, the most popular format of metagame at the moment tends to follow a set pattern of one jungler, a tanky at top, an ability power reliant caster will go middle and the carry going bottom along with a support champion This doesnt mean you wont play against different compositions.

Summoner's Rift:

Summoner's Rift is the largest available battlefield, Summoner's Rift is mirrored diagonally and features three lanes into the enemy base. Each lane is defenden by Three turrets and an inhibitor, while the nexus is prtected by a pair of turrets. Both sides of the map boast expansive jungles containing powerful buffs, and the central river is home to two boss monsters that provide team-wide benefits.

ARAM: All Random All Mid

Aram is a supported PvP game mode in League of Legends. Upon entering champion slection, ten summoners, five on each team, randomly summon a champion from their available pool of champions included free to play champions. They are allowed to reroll their champion, based upon reroll points with a maximum of 2 rerolls, wich are gained by both playing Aram games and having a diverse champion pool. Players  also trade with teammates if both players have bot champions available to them, wheter through purchase or the current weekly champion rotation. Aram has two turrets in lane, one inhibito and an Nexus with two base turrets.

Twisted Treeline

The Twisted Treeline is a two lane map where teams consisting of three players batlle in fast-paced action while their ultimate goal is to destroy the enemy team's nexus. Aside from its two, slightly curved lanes, the map also features several nutral monsters camps and two altars to be captured all situated in jungle between the lanes giving plenty of opportunities for team fight. There is also a path over the top lane wich leads to Vilemaw's lair. The team who defeats the horrific creature inside receive Crest of Crushing Wrath, which provides bonus health, mana regeneration, attack speed buff and 20% cooldown reduction.

Champions

As the League of Legends was established to prevent further Rune Wars on Valoran, the neutral aligned summoners called forth exeptional individuals, referred to as "Champions", to batlle on the Fields of Justice in order to settle disputes. These champions have joined the League for various reasons. Some are soldiers who have pledged their allegiance to a particular nation and fight in their nation's interests.Some are renowned warriors who seek to prove themselves against Valoran's most powerful beings. Some are prisoners of the League, forcd to do the League's bidding as punishment. Some may even be strange creatures from other worlds, hoping to bring stability or futher discord to Runeterra. For whatever the champions's reason, they have gained the interest of the League of Legends.

In order to join the League, a potential champion, who has proven to possess extraordinary qualities, must travel to the Institute of War to undergo a Judgement. There, a designated summoner will probe their mind in order to determine the individual's motives. In truth, the intentions of the potential champion has little bearing on whether they are accepted into the  League or not. The primary purpose of Judgement is to determine whether the individual is capable of exposing their mind to the summoner, wich would allow the two to share their mental thoughts and act as ons. Should the potential champion pass their Judgement, as well as agreeing to the call of the summon, they will have become an official League champion.

Gameplay

Gameplay:

Players are formed into two teams of five champions ( three on the Twisted Treeline map ). Each player begins at opposing sides of a map near a building called The Nexus. A match is won when either team's Nexus is destroyed. To destroy the Nexus of the enemy team, each team must fight through a series of Turrets placed along a path. Along the game, each player gains levels from killing the opposing team's Champions and Minions ( non-player characters) that regularly spawn and attack the other team. Defeating neutral monsters and completing objectives rewards players with gold wich is used to purchase items, making their Champion stronger.

Summoner's Rift : 5vs5

The oldest and most venerated Field of Justice is know as Summoner's Rift. The Rift is located in a remote forest between Frejlord, The Serpentine River, and the Ironspine Mountains. The Summoner's Rift is one of a few locations in Valoran where magical energy is at its greatest concentration, making it a highly sought-after locale to pursue magical endeavors. Historically, the forest where the Rift resides was the site of several battles during Runeterra's various Rune Wars. In modern times, this battle is known as the ultimate proving ground for any aspiring summoner. The Rift is also the battleground where some of Valoran's greatest political decisions have been made since the inception  of League of Legends.

Twisted Treeline : 3vs3

The Field of Justice known as the Twisted Treeline is one of the League arenas. The arena is located in the mysterious Shadow Isles. An eternally thick, unnatural fog blankets the islands from the view of outsiders. It is thought that the islands are home to countless forms of undead, though no one seems eager to perform the exploration necessary to find out the truth.

All Random All Mid (ARAM) was originally played as a custom ont the Summoner's Rift map. Many players enjoyed the gameplay change, focusing only on 5v5 fights with no lane phase or jungling. A small community of players crafted a set of standard rules for this type of game. ARAM quickly became the most popular popular type of custom game and the community vocally asked Riot to formally support the game mode. After some time, the Proving Grounds map was revamped from being solely for tutorials, to a playable one lane map. Later,the Howling Abyss was released as a new ARAM map, replacing the Proving Grounds along with the Freljord update and ARAM was made an official queue. This was the first and only time a custom game mode created by players became an official game type of League of Legends.
